Saint Louis Closet Co. is proud to announce the beginning of a new effort to prioritize giving back to local charities – Closets for a Cause! With an emphasis on “paying it forward,” Jennifer Williams is focusing on one charity each month through recognition, support, and a donation.
Stray Rescue of St. Louis
In February 2020, we’re featuring Stray Rescue of St. Louis, which rescues about 2,000 dogs and cats from the streets every single year. Sadly, Stray Rescue sees the worst of the worst. However, as a no-kill shelter, they give every dog and cat that crosses their threshold a chance to live a life full of love. They provide medical care and rehabilitation, and keep them until they find a perfect forever home.
Since 1998, the mission of Stray Rescue of St. Louis is to lead the way toward making St. Louis a compassionate city where every companion animal knows health, comfort, and affection, and no stray is euthanized merely because he or she has been abandoned, abused, or neglected.
Stray Rescue’s executive director, Cassady Caldwell, says, “We are thrilled to partner with Saint Louis Closet Co.! The funds we raise will go to our Stracks Fund and will undoubtedly help us save more deserving souls who need us.”
The Stracks Fund was established to provide emergency medical care to strays that have suffered from the most severe abuse and neglect. Named after Stracks, a dog that required extensive medical treatment after being severely injured and abused, the fund ensures uninterrupted medical care for the companion animals they rescue. Stracks is now a happy and healthy boy who is loved by his adoptive family.
Saint Louis Closet Co.’s Charitable History
Saint Louis Closet Co.’s strong history of community involvement has motivated us to give back a percentage of our sales to those in need of funding. While giving back has been a critical part of the business since opening in 1991, Closets for a Cause will take our charitable contributions to a whole new level.
