Closets for a Cause—Special Spaces

We are excited to donate a portion of our October profits to Special Spaces through our giveback program, Closets for a Cause. Special Spaces is a nonprofit that creates dream bedroom makeovers for dependent children ages 2-19 battling cancer or within one year of treatment.

Since 2011, Special Spaces has been operating in the St. Louis area, aiming to provide six to ten life-changing bedroom makeovers each year. Just this past August, they even completed their 60th dream bedroom makeover!

Saint Louis Closet Co.’s Impact

The donation from Saint Louis Closet Co. will go toward Special Spaces’ mission of creating a special space for children who need it. “Our bedrooms are designed around the child’s wishes and dreams of what they want in their space,” says Keelyn Schwegel and Teresa Hutton. Co-Directors of Special Spaces St. Louis. “Through our partnership with Saint Louis Closet Co., we will be able to provide more dream bedrooms to children battling cancer in St. Louis and surrounding counties.”

Saint Louis Closet Co. knows just how important one’s space is to their mental and physical health. The work that Special Spaces does is more than just a room makeover. They’re changing lives by providing children in need a space where they can sleep, rest, play, and spend time away from the challenges of their illness.
