It’s a new year, and Saint Louis Closet CO. is proud to share that Closets for a Cause will be continuing in 2022! Since the program’s start in February 2020, $71,723.09 has been donated across 21 local nonprofit organizations! Let’s keep spreading good cheer to not only the people in our community but also animals in need. That’s why we’re donating a portion of all January sales to the Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment of St. Louis (CARE STL). Read more to learn all about this fantastic organization!
The Center for Animal Rescue and Enrichment of St. Louis
Founded in 2018, CARE STL rescues animals in need and provides them with shelter, and their foster program and adoption services connect them with people in the community. This nonprofit, located in St. Louis City, has approximately 3,000 adoptions each year. They also provide vaccines, microchips, and wellness exams at low or no cost to approximately 500 families that cannot afford pet care annually.
Plans for Funds Raised
When animals arrive at the shelter, they may need more medical care than what the onsite clinic can provide. That is why funds raised through Closets for a Cause will go toward the CARE Emergency Medical Fund, which pays for specialty veterinary care or diagnostics for rescue animals. This includes treatment for acute diseases, intensive treatment that requires round-the-clock care, heartworm treatment, and specialty diagnostics such as CAT scans, ultrasounds, and bloodwork.
